A YEAR IN PICTURES
It’s hard to believe we’ve endured yet another year in the relentless grip of the pandemic. The ongoing struggle within Australia’s vulnerable communities is heartbreaking and continues to have a major impact on everything we do. With the exception of our resilient team in Melbourne, the start of the year had a sense of normality as we returned to the office, then new lockdown restrictions in July changed everything. Once again, the need for food relief hit a new high; as did our emergency response.
This 2021 Impact Report helps to tell our story, highlight our work and thank the countless supporters, volunteers, organisations and partners that are part of our journey. It also shows the strength of those who have continued to overcome numerous challenges and the hope and kindness that is found within our own communities. I encourage you to keep scrolling to give you a sense of what it takes to ‘Nourish our Country’ in such challenging times.

OUR VOLUNTEERS
OzHarvest’s impact in communities across Australia is a direct result of our ‘yellow army’ of dedicated volunteers. During times of increased need, we rely on their support, passion, and commitment. This year our family has grown to over 4,000 volunteers who donated 77,000 hours of their precious time to pack and distribute hampers, portion and pack cooked meals, answer phones, assist in vans, support education programs, serve hot meals, and provide comfort and conversation to the many people doing it tough.
Our deep gratitude goes to the incredible team of volunteers who run food rescue in seven regional locations across the country.

NOURISHING OUR COUNTRY
OzHarvest HQ is based in Sydney, with eight offices, four hubs and seven volunteer run regional chapters across the country. Click on the map to see our local impact in each location. The number of meals delivered includes purchased food, cooked meals and hampers where applicable.
